Nicole Anand
Nicole Anand is a political economist, design strategist, and open government leader with a deep passion for creating just and equitable futures. For nearly 20 years, Nicole led international and local nonprofit and consulting organizations in service of social and economic justice. Her approach centers cross-sector coalition — with government, mission-driven organizations, and community members to create robust ecosystems of public policies, programs, and narratives that care for people most in need. Nicole served on the inaugural Racial Equity committee of the US Department of Treasury (TACRE), and taught design research and strategy at The New School, Parsons School of Design. She is committed to moving her hometown of Los Angeles toward an informed public with progressive political leadership through her service as Board Chair of LA Forward Institute, and toward an unwavering, robust support of immigrants across California through her service as Board Chair of Immigrants Rising.

Diane Lim
Diane Lim brings over 40 years of experience as an economist specializing in the distributional effects of public policies. Before recently retiring from federal service, her last role was as Director of the Equity Hub at the U.S. Treasury Department, and prior to that she was Policy Director of the House Select Committee on Economic Disparity and Fairness in Growth. She has held many other prominent roles in the federal government, nonprofit, and academic sectors, including serving as chief economist for multiple congressional committees and as a senior economist at the President’s Council of Economic Advisers. A former professor and dedicated thought leader, Diane is a founding advisory board member of the University of Virginia’s Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy and a past president of the National Tax Association.
Sabine Romero
Sabine Romero brings her decades of public policy expertise to the Economic Culture Lab. Her consulting work today with Good Governance Partners champions collaboration, with a focus on ethics and human-centered design. Roles and projects before GGP have included the City of Austin, Scripps College, and the Open Government Partnership.
Julien Antelin
Julien Antelin currently serves as Community Program and Impact Chief at the Office of Major Events, Los Angeles. Previously, he was Senior Director of Personnel and Operations, Deputy in the Office of Finance, Operations and Innovation in the Office of Mayor Karen Bass. Julien was deeply involved in leveraging data and technology to enhance the delivery of city services and the improvement of city department operations. Prior to his tenure in the Mayor’s Office, Julien was the Director of Innovation for the City’s Department of Neighborhood Empowerment; and also served as a Systems Administrator at the City’s Personnel Department. Prior, Antelin worked for the City of Paris, France as Chief of Staff in the Mayor's Office. He spearheaded the implementation of various policies including one of the world’s most significant participatory budgeting programs. Previous to his roles in local government, he worked in a micro-finance institution dedicated to delivering financial services to vulnerable populations in rural Colombia, embodying his commitment to social impact. Additionally, he served as the head of risk management at a global asset management company, where he gained valuable insights into financial risk analysis and mitigation strategies.
Dave Algoso
Dave Algoso is a social change strategist and facilitator. Through his independent consulting practice, he advises nonprofits, foundations, and coalitions working to build a more just and democratic world. He also teaches at the NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and has written for a range of publications, including NPQ, WIRED, and the Stanford Social Innovation Review.
